DSG clutch and flywheel replacement
A DSG gearbox has two clutches – one for odd and one for even gears. When they wear, the car starts to jerk and judder when pulling away.
Symptoms of a worn DSG clutch
- Jerking or judder when pulling away and at low speed
- Clutch slip – revs rise but the car does not accelerate
- Delayed or harsh shifts
- Rattling at idle, which may point to the dual-mass flywheel
- Gearbox fault codes or warning light
