The Transporter timing belt
In the Transporter’s 2.0 TDI engine the oil pump is driven by its own toothed belt, which is best replaced at the same time as the timing belt. That is why our T6 timing belt job includes the oil pump belt and an oil change.

VW Transporter – timing belt interval: it depends on the engine and model year, and it is given both in kilometres and in years (whichever comes first). We check the manufacturer’s interval with your registration number – tell us the mileage and when the belt was last replaced. Vans that are driven a lot or idle for long periods should have the belt replaced in good time.
Which vans fit our lift? Up to length class L2 and a gross weight of 4.5 tonnes (including the load). There is no height limit, so high-roof models are fine. The longest Sprinters and Crafters (L3/L4) unfortunately do not fit – ask with your registration number if unsure.
